The People & Culture Team supports and helps enhance the organisation's workforce capability by partnering with leaders and staff in developing the culture and employment practices that sets Y NSW apart from its competitors.
About the role
The Head of People Capability, Development & Partnering is responsible for shaping and delivering the people operations and organisational development strategy across the organisation.
Reporting to the Chief People Officer (CPO), the successful candidate will oversee the Business Partnering and Learning & Development teams ensuring they are aligned and effective.

Lead and optimise the HR operations, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and employee engagement and activation activities.

Drive operational efficiency by leveraging HR technology and data analytics to streamline processes and improve the employee experience.

Develop and implement the organisational development strategy to support the company’s growth, culture, and change management efforts.

Partner with senior leadership to design and drive organisational design initiatives, workforce planning, and in collaboration with the Head of Talent, talent management strategies.

Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and performance, while aligning these efforts with business objectives and values.

Develop a cohesive learning plan for the organisation that focuses on a strategic learning offering

Collaborate with leadership teams to identify critical skills gaps and create tailored development programs to address leadership capabilities at all levels.
To be successful you will analyse key people metrics, including engagement, turnover, performance, and development outcomes and foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development, ensuring employees have the tools and resources needed to succeed and grow.
About you
You are a strategic thinker capable of translating business needs into effective people strategies. You do this by combining your aptitude for systems and data with exceptional communication and coaching sills.

Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or a related field.

Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development such as a master’s degree or certifications (e.g., AHRI)

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in HR Business Partnering, employee engagement, and change management.

Leadership experience managing cross-functional teams, particularly HR Business Partners and L&D teams

Certified coach and preferably ICF or Gallup Certified Strengths coach
