We seek a committed 2IC to help inspire children at our Burke Ward OSHC services. This isn’t your typical 9-5 role; this role is for Before and After School care which operates between the hours of 7 am - 9 am and 3 pm - 6 pm, shifts will primarily be block shifts and may be split shifts where required. You will be able to maximize the Y NSW’s learning and development library and explore the Y’s unique national and international opportunities to develop your skills and experiences.
 
About your new role
 

• You will assist the coordinator in designing and delivering a safe, effective, and fun OSHC service following Y values 
• You will oversee a calendar of inclusive, exciting, and engaging programs following My Time Our Place Volume II principals
• You will become a trusted leader in the community, working closely with Y NSW families, schools, and charity partners to turn the Y’s global mission into local action 
• You will manage a dynamic team of Educators, helping everyone's individual growth
• You will be able to follow our development pathway to learn new skills and build your career

• Availability to supervise Before School Care, After School Care, and Vacation Care hours

Qualifications
 

• Certificate III, IV, or Diploma in Children's Services, or equivalent (Desirable)
• Identify and Report Children and Young People at Risk CHCPRT025 OR CHCPRT001 (Required)
• Valid NSW Working with Children Check (Required)
• HLTAID004 /HLTAID012 - Current First Aid and CPR  (Required)
• Police Check (paid for by the Y)

Our Children Services Team are the passionate leaders giving developing young minds the opportunity to learn, grow and have fun outside of school. Across 53 schools in NSW, our team of OSHC Educators and Coordinators provide before and after school (and school holiday) care that’s dedicated to the safety and development of young children. Every day, the team facilitate and run a range of valuable programs and activities that include sport, creative arts, cooking – and many more.
