Our Children Services Team are passionate educators and leaders who create safe, engaging environments for young minds to learn, grow, and thrive. Across 47 NSW schools, our OSHC Educators and Coordinators deliver enriching before and after school care, packed with creativity, play, and learning.

We have a great opportunity for a Casual educator for children at our OSHC services at Cromer on Sydney's Northern Beaches.

Joining Dee Why and Forestville, Cromer is our newest site on Sydney's northern beaches, opening in early February 2026, and we seek an experienced educator ready to progress their career with the Y 

 

Schedule

You will need to be available for a minimum of 3 afternoon shifts per week to be considered for this role.

 

About your new role 

 

  • You will provide fun and engaging activities for primary school-age children

  • Reporting to the Coordinators of our OSHC centres, you will be one of over 200 educators who support children across NSW.

  • You will be able to follow our development pathways to learn new skills and build your career

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

 

  • Experience supervising and interacting with children

  • Ability to follow safeguarding priorities

  • A strong understanding of the curriculum or willing to learn

  • Current First Aid HLTAID012 - Provide an emergency response in an education and care setting and CPR

  • Identify and Report Children and Young People at Risk CHCPRT025 (Desirable)

  • Valid Working with Children Check 

  • Police Check (paid for by the Y)
