East Gymnastics (powered by The Y NSW) facilities include a range of high-quality equipment perfect for gymnasts of all ages.


Our program is different to other gymnastics clubs due to the superior experience level and passion of our coaching team and our belief that recreational gymnastics does not mean a compromise on technical quality. We care about each gymnast, celebrate their successes, and encourage them to overcome challenges. 
 


  
About You:


You are passionate about aerial gymnastics and love working with young people and can: 
•    Develop and deliver engaging aerial gymnastics programs for children and young adults.
•    Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants during classes and activities.
•    Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages skill development and confidence.
•    Collaborate with other instructors and staff to create a comprehensive fitness and recreation experience.
•    Act as a role model, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and respect.
 
  


Key Responsibilities:

 

•    Plan and conduct aerial gymnastics classes for various skill levels.
•    Monitor and assess participants' progress, providing constructive feedback.
•    Maintain equipment and ensure the training area is safe and clean.
•    Promote a culture of safety and inclusivity within the gym.
•    Participate in team meetings and contribute to program development.
  
 


Qualifications and Experience:


•    Aerial Certification.
•    Experience in aerial gymnastics and coaching young people.
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•    First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
•    A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
•    Technical membership with Gymnastics Australia (Desirable)

Recreation



Our Recreation Team is a close-knit community of energetic people-people, with a passion for staying active and helping others. From our Duty Managers and Customer Service Officers, to our Instructors and Coordinators, the team are responsible for transforming our 18 Recreation Centres into warm, inclusive and safe spaces – providing access to health, fitness and recreation opportunities for those who need it most.
