We are currently looking for up and coming gymnastic professionals to join the team at East Gymnastics YMCA.

 

What we will do for you:

 

We will assist you in gaining your gymnastics qualification through a 12 week program within the Y. Successful completion of this program will exempt you from undertaking a separate Beginner qualification! (A step ahead of everyone else).

All we ask for is passion drive and commitment, and a willingnes to learn.

 

What you will gain:

 

This will all depend on you! We are willing to offer successful mentees a role as an Assistant Gymnastics Instructor. We can also assist you to gain your full gymnastics qualifications, leading to a career in a very successful and rewarding industry!

 

About the Program:

 

Running over approximately 12-weeks the program is designed to support & challenge the individual through a holistic approach to personal development and comphrehensive gymnastics coaching. In addtional to learning how to safely teach core gymnastics skills, the course covers written & verbal communication skills, how to work independently and confidently, fostering the ability to interact on many levels and an opportunity to explore and share knowledge with other proffesional. The program is designed to be an enjoying and beneficial experience for mentors and participants alike. The relationship devloped, and sharing of knowledge will build character, interpersonal skilla and resource streams for all involved.

 

To be successful, you must be:

 

  • Be open and receptive to new ways of learning and trying and sharing new ideas.
  • Have a growth mindset and seek ways to improve yourself.
  • Wiilingly accept feedback and apply it
  • Be able to communicate clearly and work cooperatively with others
  • Be proactive - know when to ask for help


You're obligations for a successful completion of this program:

 

  • Complete YMCA pre course workbook and online generic and Gymsport specific course prior to attending gym-based training.
  • Attend all East Gymnastics/YMCA scheduled lessons / coaching sessions / workshops
  • Read and understand East Gymnastics/YMCA Coaches Handbook
  • Complete all East Gymnastics/YMCA assigned homework tasks
  • Complete all East Gymnastics/YMCA evaluation forms
  • Accept that the program is completely volunteer for the participants (12 Weeks)

 

Please note:

  • The program may continue for longer than 12-weeks pending agreement between participant and East Gymnastics YMCA.

Our Recreation Team is a close-knit community of energetic people-people, with a passion for staying active and helping others.
