About the role:
We are looking for an experienced, professional and energetic Assistant Centre Manager to join the team at Great Lakes Aquatic & Leisure Centre, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations. You will be responsible for assisting the Centre Manager in the effective delivery of all administrative, financial and planning activities, ensuring the facility meets the needs of the local community.
As the Assistant Centre Manager you will work directly with the management team to deliver performance across all areas of the business with customer satisfaction and safety at the forefront of everything you do. This is an exciting role with equal focus on financial management, people management and performance within the Centre. An element of the role is in service delivery; across our frontline and customer experience, fitness and aquatics, provided you have the relevant qualifications.
About you:
- Qualifications in Business and/or Management or equivalent
- Experience in the management of a medium to large recreation facility
- Minimum 3 years in people management/leading teams
- Frontline Management Experience
- You love a challenge & thinking outside the box
- You're a people person

- Senior First Aid and CPR
- RLSSA Pool Lifeguard Award/License

Our Recreation Team is a close-knit community of energetic people-people, with a passion for staying active and helping others. From our Duty Managers and Customer Service Officers, to our Instructors and Coordinators, the team are responsible for transforming our 24 Recreation Centres into warm, inclusive and safe spaces – providing access to health, fitness and recreation opportunities for those who need it most.
