We are currently in search for 5 creche Assistants to come join the team at the Y NSW Great Lakes Aquatic and Leisure Centre. 

 

The successful candidates will be required to work between the hours of 8.30am and 11.30am Monday to Friday.

 

We also have two permanent part time positions of either 15 or 9 hours per week.  

About the role

Reporting to the Crèche Coordinator, the first and primary measure of the success as a Creche Assistant will be to support the Coordinator to manage the overall quality of the management and administration of the operations of the Creche Service. You will work to ensure the service's philosophy, policies and procedures are implemented, and Childcare National Standards are met as minimum operational standards for the Crèche service. 

What you will come with: 

 

  • Ability to interact with children in a positive, sensitive and respectful manner
  • Recognition of the needs of children and the ability to nurture and support children new to the service
  • Ability to cope in an emergency or in a stressful situation 
  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Certificate III in Childcare or equivalent (Required for part time positions)

 


Recreation


Our Recreation Team is a close-knit community of energetic people-people, with a passion for staying active and helping others. From our Duty Managers and Customer Service Officers, to our Instructors and Coordinators, the team are responsible for transforming our 24 Recreation Centres into warm, inclusive and safe spaces – providing access to health, fitness and recreation opportunities for those who need it most.
