Join the team at YMCA Hawkesbury and help develop successful squad programs whilst leading squad training sessions under the guidance of the Head Squad Coach. 

 

About the Role

 

Reporting to the Swim School Coordinator, the Squad Coach is an essential component in the delivery of YMCA aquatic education programs and services. You are required to maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of all aspects of YMCA aquatic programs, educational trends and industry development. This role also entails;


•    The delivery of safe, effective and professional sessions that progress the ability of students
•    Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of Coaching
•    Ensuring that you are available to undertake every allocated squad for a minimum of 12 months
•    Additional WHS, administration and planning of the Squad program

 

What you will need to have

 

 

  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Teacher of Towards Competitive Strokes/Teacher of Competitive Swimming
  • Development Accreditation

 

What we would like you to have:


•    ASCTA - Current membership
•    Bronze Coaching Licence Accreditation
•    Any other swimming instruction qualifications
•    Lifeguard qualifications (Desired but not essential)

 

Recreation


Our Recreation Team is a close-knit community of energetic people-people, with a passion for staying active and helping others. From our Duty Managers and Customer Service Officers, to our Instructors and Coordinators, the team are responsible for transforming our 24 Recreation Centres into warm, inclusive and safe spaces – providing access to health, fitness and recreation opportunities for those who need it most.
