We are seeking experienced Early Childhood Teachers (ECT) for multiple roles to join the team. As an ECT, you will provide leadership in delivering high quality, inclusive learning programs while working closely alongside the Centre Director to strive for an exceeding centre.
 

 

About you:
 

  • Bachelor’s Qualification (or ACECQA Approved) in Early Childhood Education
  • Current Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain
  • Current approved First Aid Certificate
  • Current approved Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
  • Outstanding level of verbal and written communication
  • Strong knowledge and experience of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standards (NQS)
  • Three years demonstrated experience as Educational Lead, able to create engaging curriculum and programs 
  • Demonstrate knowledge in Child Protection and Safeguarding
  • Demonstrated experience working as Centre Director to support annual and maternity leave 
  • Strong IT Skills including, OWNA and Social Media Marketing activities 
  • Demonstrated Project Management skills
     

 

About the role:
 

  • Ensure learning and development programs align with the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards
  • Lead the development and implementation of an effective educational program, assessment, and planning cycle to create a positive and engaging learning environment for children
  • Lead the implementation of the educational program in the service, ensuring that children's learning and development are guided by the learning outcomes of the approved learning frameworks
  • Plan and structure learning in both indoor and outdoor environments using a variety of materials and equipment to facilitate students' development
  • Provide a variety of experiences and activities to develop motor skills, cooperative social skills, confidence and understanding
  • Observe nutritional health, welfare and safety needs of students and identifying factors which may impede students' progress
  • Establish and nurture strong connections with children, families and local communities to build collaborative and mutually beneficial partnerships that support children's development
  • Promote language development through storytelling, role play, songs, rhymes and informal discussions held individually and within groups
  • Step into role of Centre Director to cover annual and maternity leave
  • Mentor and support educators from diverse backgrounds and experience levels in effectively implementing the planning cycle to enhance programs and practices
  • Supervise student teachers on placement
  • Attend parent interviews and facilitate ongoing discussion around students' progress with parents
  • Participate in community and family support programs as appropriate
  • Attend regular staff and committee meetings

Schedule:
 

  • Monday to Friday, no weekends
  • Rotating Roster 
  • 8-hour shift
  • On site
  • Salary from $73,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
