We are seeking an experienced Child Care Centre Coordinator to join the team. As Centre Coordinator you will provide leadership in delivering high quality, inclusive learning programs while working closely alongside the Centre Director to strive for an exceeding centre.

 

 

About you:

 

  • At least a Diploma Qualification (or ACECQA Approved) in Early Childhood Education with at least 3 years of experience as Coordinator in Long Day Care setting
  • Current Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain
  • Current approved First Aid Certificate
  • Current approved Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
  • Child Protection and Safeguarding training
  • Outstanding level of verbal and written communication
  • Strong knowledge and experience of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standards (NQS)
  • Three years demonstrated experience as Centre Coordinator with responsibility for creating engaging curriculum and programs
  • Demonstrate knowledge in Child Protection and Safeguarding
  • Strong IT Skills including, OWNA and Social Media Marketing activities


 

About the role:

 

  • Ensure learning and development programs align with the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards
  • Developing and implement programs to enhance the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of young children
  • Supervise and mentor Centre staff, including trainees, in best practice care and supervision of young children
  • Ensure the centre is a safe area for children, staff and visitors via consistent implementation of Centre Work Health and Safety protocols
  • Responsible for developing Risk Assessments for Centre activities (including extensive excursion schedule) and managing staff understanding and sign off assessments
  • Responsible for managing First Aid records including logs and incidents
  • Assist in Centre Administration including enrolments, bookings requests, responding to family enquiries, accurate record keeping and documentation
  • Assist in the effective implementation of Inclusion Support programs
  • Assist in staff recruitment, onboarding, supervision and professional development activities
  • Plan and coordinate management of Centre facilities
  • Drive the development of Self-Assessment Tools for the centre
  • Co-operate and work collaboratively with families, ensuring regular communication regarding the care and specific needs of their children, and ensuring that families feel comfortable and encouraged to become involved in the service.
  • Share responsibility for the safety and hygiene of children within the service’s environment, including ensuring appropriate cleaning and food handling practices
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of an effective educational program, assessment, and planning cycle to create a positive and engaging learning environment for children
  • Contribute to the implementation of the educational program in the service, ensuring that children's
  • learning and development are guided by the learning outcomes of the approved learning frameworks
  • Attend parent interviews and facilitate ongoing discussion around students' progress with parents
  • Participate in community and family support programs as appropriate
  • Attend regular staff and committee meetings
