Accounts Receivable Manager

Reports to Senior Financial Accountant and/or Financial Controller

About the Role

The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for preparing accurate, timely, and error-free revenue and GST postings in collaboration with the entire finance team in adherence with work schedules.  Regular tasks include processing and managing invoices and revenue journals, direct debit processing cash receipting, bank reconciliations, debtors and cashflow reporting, inbox management, and participating end of month activities.

 

Key Accountabilities    

  • Daily Bank reconciliations including cash receipting into the operational systems.
  • Oversee direct debit processing weekly, and rejection reports are actioned.
  • Creating amalgamated debtors reports and supporting the business in collecting delinquent debt across all portfolios.
  • Manage the family credits register, validating and approving the release of refunds required.
  • Facilitating the integration of revenue journals from operational systems into the ERP system and problem-solving issues
  • Raising invoices, credit notes, and statements directly from the ERP system
  • Assist in the preparation of relevant month-end and year-end reports.
  • Extraction and reconciliation of reports from sub-systems debtors to the ERP system
  • Government funding clearing accounts reconciliation.
  • Manage direct reports
  • Accounts inbox management
  • BAU project work as required.

Skills

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Essentials exposure or similar
  • Ability to work within set work schedules and reporting timetables.
  • Prioritisation and organisational skills including speed, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders with a positive impact
  • Intermediate computer software and accounting packages user skills including MS Excel (vlookups and pivot tables).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

Qualifications

  • Degree Qualification in Accounting, Commerce, or relevant equivalent experience
