The Risk & Innovation Team drives innovative digital enablement for young people, and leads the risk, safety and safeguarding areas, developing leading-edge capability that sets Y NSW apart from its competitors.
The Systems Manager position is a hybrid resource shared between Y NSW and Y Australia working 60/40% of the time on the respective Folio Projects.
About the role
Reporting to the Chief Risk and Innovation Officer (CRIO), the Systems Manager will play a pivotal role in delivering a new risk & compliance management platform.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the platform, ensuring an enhanced user experience and functionality for our strategic and operational risk management needs.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and align platform capabilities with organisational needs

Lead the change management of this system ensuring all staff are engaged and brought on the journey with the new platform.

Prioritise user experience by engaging with end users to gather feedback and identify opportunities for improvement.

Manage workflows based on feedback and identify pain points for further opportunities for improvement.

Provide user support, troubleshooting, and ongoing assistance to promote platform adoption and optimization

Collaborate with the learning and development team to create intuitive user onboarding, training, and upskilling opportunities.

Establish and implement processes for the ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancement of the risk management platform.

Monitor platform performance, address technical issues, and implement updates and improvements, as necessary.
About you
You have both the technical and management proficiency in system implementation and user experience design to deliver a complex project of this nature.

Formal qualifications in Computer Science, IT or a Technology related discipline.

Professional certifications in digital project or product management

Previous experience leading the design and delivery of a complex SaaS platform.

Strong understanding of, reporting, data visualization, analytics, and data-driven decision-making.

Experience working in the not-for-profit sector (Desirable).
Whilst an In-depth understanding of risk management practices and associated technology solutions is not essential it would be advantageous.
