About the Role

 

As the Youth Voice Coordinator, you will lead the coordination and delivery of the Y NSW Youth Parliament program and support other youth voice initiatives across our organisation. This is a dynamic opportunity to work directly with young people, volunteers, and stakeholders in government and community sectors.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinate Youth Parliament camps and events, ensuring smooth logistics and participant wellbeing.
  • Facilitate youth consultations and develop content that empowers participants to engage in civic processes.
  • Manage participant communications, social media, and training resources.
  • Support the delivery of the Y NSW’s Youth Voice Plan and advocacy projects.

 

Ideal Candidate

 

We’re looking for someone who is:

 

  • A student or recent graduate in youth work, social sciences, or political science/policy.
  • Passionate about youth empowerment and community engagement.
  • Organised, proactive, and possesses good time management skills.
  • Experienced (or keen to learn) in parliamentary processes and youth program delivery.
  • Skilled in communication, leadership, and working with diverse cohorts of young people.
  • Familiarity with social media management and stakeholder engagement.

 

Desirable Skills

 

  • Experience in mentoring or supporting the well-being of young people with diverse needs.
  • Knowledge of NSW government processes and youth advocacy frameworks.
  • A youth worker qualification will be highly considered.

 

A successful candidate must hold a valid NSW Working With Children Check, or be willing to obtain one, along with a Police Check.
