Our Group Leaders are a team of passionate individuals who share their love of outdoor recreation with our camp participants and guests. They ensure each person leaves our camp sites with lasting memories, enhanced personal growth, a strengthened sense of community as well as feeling more connected to the natural world!

 

About your new role: 

 

Reporting to the Programs Coordinator, your new role is focussed on group facilitation. You will conduct pre and post program tasks such as safety checks and set up as well as group briefing. Some of the program outcomes include confidence, team building, leadership, communication skills and critical thinking. You will conduct group adventure activities in accordance with YMCA NSW Camping standard operating procedures. 

 

The role will see you provide a high standard of customer service to our guests as well as supervision of meal service and camp facilities when required.  You must be available at least 3 consecutive weekdays per week and will be open to working with us on a casual basis, working a flexible roster across the 7 days of the week in the shift hours range from 7am through to 9pm.

 

To set you up for success we will provide you 2 full weeks of paid training as well as 2-4 weeks of paid shadowing! You will also receive free meals on-site and will have access to accommodation whilst working. Whilst this is a casual role, we are looking for interested group leaders to progress into part time and full-time positions.

•    Great communication, Interpersonal and leadership skills
•    Problem solving and Positive attitude
•    Passion for outdoor activities
•    Relevant industry experience (desirable)
•    First Aid and CPR in Childcare setting(012)
