Our Outdoor Educators are the adventurous go-getters helping children learn and grow in a safe, fun and natural environment. (Literally.) At the Y, we’re after passionate go-getters with a love of all things outdoors to send our young campers home with lasting memories, a strengthened sense of self and community – and a greater connection to the natural world.

Reporting to the Programs Coordinator, you’ll lead adventurous activities and outdoor learning sessions, delivering memorable and meaningful experiences that young people love. You’ll also act as leader, mentor and role model for our young community, including many underprivileged and disadvantaged children.

If you’re an energetic and empathetic leader looking for a fulfilling career in a beautiful and unique working environment, you could be our next Outdoor Educator. If so, you’re in the right place to build confidence, team-building, leadership and independence in others – and yourself.

Childcare Services

Our Children Services Team are the passionate leaders giving developing young minds the opportunity to learn, grow and have fun outside of school. Across 53 schools in NSW, our team of OSHC Educators and Coordinators provide before and after school (and school holiday) care that’s dedicated to the safety and development of young children. Every day, the team facilitate and run a range of valuable programs and activities that include sport, creative arts, cooking – and many more. These roles work closely with children, parents and teachers alike, to provide meaningful opportunities for young people within a healthy, safe and inclusive environment. If you’re a driven, dedicated leader who brings energy and enthusiasm to everything you do, you’ll find the support and flexibility to explore a promising career in childcare or education.

Who What Y?

Commitment to Safeguarding

At the Y, we are committed to empowering all Children and Young People to feel safe and be safe, at the Y, in their families and in their communities. As such, we embed Safeguarding into everything that we do to make sure Children and Young People are kept at the front of our minds in all our programs and services. We also ensure that all our candidates are appropriately screened to make sure that the right people are in the right roles to keep our children and young people safe.
