Who What Y?

The Y NSW is a profit-for-purpose organisation focused on healthy living, social impact and empowering young people. We operate 18 recreation centres, 47 out-of-school-hours care services, and two camping locations which employ over 1000 staff across NSW – and fund our diverse range of enriching community programs.

We believe in building a diverse, inclusive workforce that reflects the communities we serve. We encourage people of all genders, ages, religions, disability, sexual orientation, family and caring responsibilities and cultures, including people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage, to apply.

  • Impact the lives of young people in a bushland setting

  • No outdoor education experience needed – we’ll train you!

At the Y, we’re after passionate and adventurous go-getters with a love of all things outdoors to provide our young campers with unforgettable experiences, a strengthened sense of self and community, and a greater connection to our natural and peaceful environment.

You’ll lead adventurous outdoor activities and confidence-building games, while mentoring our young community, including many underprivileged and disadvantaged children.

Our supportive and fun-loving team can’t wait to welcome you to your new and rewarding camp career, where you’ll also eventually work within our ground-breaking new camping facilities!
