The Y NSW has been creating memories through outdoor education programs and camps for children, young people and community groups since 1937.

Camp Yarramundi is located on the heritage listed Grose River in the beautiful Hawkesbury Valley, set on 35 acres of natural bushland, Camp Yarramundi has the capacity to accommodate up to 260 people in a variety of cabins across the site.

The camp offers a range of adventure activities, including a high ropes adventure course, giant swing, flying fox, team building and artificial caving!

About the role

 

The Programs Coordinator will be an efficient well-organised, self-motivated person, showing strong commitment, emphasis on leadership and motivation in a challenging environment. Reporting to the Program Manager the Programs Coordinator is responsible for all aspects programming for Camp Yarramundi.


The role will also consist of commitment to the camp sites with the creation of diversified programs and community building activities. This is not limited to other duties such as: rostering, creating outcomes based programs, coordinating relevant activities and coordinating camp schedules.

What you will bring to the role

 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of practices, procedures, activities, and programs as they relate to youth/child camping
  • First Aid in a childcare setting and CPR certification
  • Working with Children Check
  • A relevant qualification in Outdoor Recreation or equivalent could be seen as an advantage, but your advanced administration and interpersonal skills would top this!
